Longfin Tuna Salad

  • 1 – 1 ½ lbs. Longfin Albacore, cut into steaks
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 large bermuda onion, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, diced (optional)
  • 1/3 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 medium half sour or dill garlic pickle, diced
  • ½ teaspoon coarse salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • mayonnaise to taste
 





Place the Tuna steaks in large skillet and cover with the yellow onion slices.

Poach the Tuna until you can flake with a fork with minimal effort.

Set aside to cool & drain.

Mix all of the other ingredients in a large mixing bowl (note: start with a ½ cup of mayonnaise and adjust to taste).

Flake the Tuna.

Gently add the flaked Tuna to the mixed ingredients. Chill & enjoy some awesome sandwiches.
